Regardless of its complexity, your web site needs a solid foundation. It's not sufficient that it looks good, although that is of course an important consideration. As people use the Internet more and more they have expectations about how web sites will be organized and how they will work. These considerations are crucial to a successful web site, and here at Tegfan designs they underpin all our work.

Our designs are also informed by the standards and guidelines produced by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This is an international organization that aims to ensure that all websites are accessible to all Internet users in today's on-line environment.

Basic Web Site

For many businesses a simple on-line brochure is a sufficient web presence. It affords the opportunity to advertise on-line and may include such features as product and service descriptions, photographs and graphics, information about the organization, and contact details (with a direct e-mail link).

Your new site will begin through a process of active consultation with Tegfan Designs to establish your requirements as clearly as possible. Following on from this we will develop a number of design proposals and present them to you. Similar content can be presented in very different ways, ranging from a more structured look to one that is less formal.

Your selected design will then be expanded into an actual web site and any final changes you may want will be incorporated to ensure that the finished product meets your expectations.

For a typical site of ten to twelve pages you can expect to pay in the £300 to £400 range. Obviously, every situation is different and the specific price for your web site will be agreed upon before the design proposals are developed.

Hosting and Maintenance

Once your web site is built there are two options open to you. We can send you the finished product and you can arrange for it to be placed on the web. The alternative is for us to handle all aspects of your web presence for you. This package includes:

Domain name registration: This is your unique web address, such as AcmeCleaners.com or JoesCafe.co.uk.
E-Mail: Specific addresses at your domain name such as info@AcmeCleaners.com. Personal addresses can also be provided. A maximum of ten e-mail addresses are included.
Hosting: The process of making your site visible on the web is called hosting, and is effectively like renting a small space on one of the powerful interconnected computers that make up the World Wide Web. We will also submit your web site to all major search engines.
Maintenance: We will perform weekly checks of all links and images on the site. Content changes up to 2 hours work per month are also included in the package.

Our hosting and maintenance package is priced at £45 per month.
